My name is Aaron Kobilis and I am an independent designer in the Washington DC area. I’ve specialized in print, web, and photography for over 15 years and possess a keen dedication for my work, which translates to effective, fresh and intelligent designs and photography for my audience and clients.

I was incredibly fortunate in the early years of my career to work with studios, organizations and agencies that were supportive of my creativity and helped broaden my vision and knowledge of what was possible in the field of visual communications.

In 1998, I began to take on freelance projects in addition to my full-time job. Several years later, I came to a point when my freelance work equaled my full-time work, so I decided to take a leap of faith and begin working as an independent. Over the years I have partnered with many interesting organizations, some incredibly large, some small, but all presenting a unique and exciting creative challenge that has helped to grow my experience as a designer and design professional, and in turn, grow my clients’ businesses.

In 2005, after years of art directing photo shoots, I decided to pick up my old Pentax SLR camera again. I enrolled in refresher courses at Corcoran School of Art + Design and began to promote my photography in addition to my design services. I’m very proud of the fact that much of my design work now incorporates my own photography.

Thank you for viewing my work, I look forward to partnering with you and your organization.
